Here are five strategies to change the way you think

  1. Imagine your life five and ten years from now, what does it look like? What do you need to change to make this a reality? Journal your answers and thoughts.

  2. Find a mentor, surround yourself with people who will motivate and encourage you.

  3. Create a plan and take action. Don't allow the fear of failure hold you back. The only thing that will hold you back is not taking the first step. Take that first step towards success.

  4. Turn the table! If you can't change it, then change you. What's an alternative? Look at it from a different perspective. Speak with someone you trust.

  5. Have a scripture or affirmations that is personal. Scripture: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13, "Yet in all things we are/I am more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us so much that He died for us." Romans 8:37. Affirmation: I am determined to succeed; nothing can stop me. My past does not dictate my future. I am not defined by past. I am bold, I am strong, I am confident, I am a winner, I will achieve my goals.
